Highlights:

The San Antonio Rampage suffered their second straight loss, a 7-1 decision to the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday evening as the team opened their road trip.

Bakersfield got on the scoreboard in the opening frame with goals from Braden Christoffer and Josh Currie with San Antonio netminder Spencer Martin stopping 7-of-9 shots in the opening 20 minutes.

The home team added to their lead with goals from Ryan Hamilton and Taylor Beck in the second stanza. Rampage would outshot the Condors in the period, but still come away empty handed.

Nathan Lieuwen started the third period for the Silver and Black, ending Martin’s night in net. Beck notched his second tally of the evening and Kris Newbury and Joey Benik closed the scorching night for the Condors. The Rampage stopped the bleeding with J.T. Compher’s power-play goal before time expired, a 7-1 defeat for San Antonio.

Up next: The 3-6-0-0 Rampage have three points on the season and will return to the ice on Saturday afternoon to face the San Jose Barracuda at 3:15 p.m. on the road.
