The San Antonio Rampage will become the Los Chimuelos de San Antonio for one night only for the team’s game on Día de Los Muertos on October 26, the team revealed on Thursday night.

The team name and colors are a nod to San Antonio’s Hispanic culture. The Chimuelos means man who is missing teeth, a playful jab to the dental issues surrounding hockey players.

The new identity for the team was unveiled at a party for fans at The Pearl. Rampage mascot T-Bone will become El Bistec for the night.

The Rampage will host the San Jose Barracuda at 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center as fans will have the chance to purchase gear and memorabilia.

The Rampage will drop the puck on the 2018-19 season on October 6 when they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins to the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. The team will play a home preseason game against the Texas Stars on September 26 at 7:30 p.m.
