Rampage still winless at home, fall to Reign

AT&T Center – The San Antonio Rampage fell 4-2 to the Ontario Reign as their three-game winning streak was snapped.

Just like the previous home games, San Antonio got the scoring started early. Mike Sislo lit the lamp at 12:58 of the opening frame, beating Jack Flynn to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

The second period was quiet until Ontario tied the game five minutes in. Kurtis MacDermid scored his first goal of the season, beating Rampage netminder Spencer Martin to make it one goal apiece. The Reign took the lead for good seven minutes later off a Sam Herr goal.

Sam Jardine tied things up for the silver and black in the third, sending a blast towards the net. The Reign rallied to score twice to seal the win with Sean Backman’s power-play goal at 12:45 and his empty net goal to make it 4-2.
