The San Antonio Rampage have signed goaltenders Kent Simpson and Nathan Lieuwen to one-year AHL contracts, the team announced on Monday.
Simpson split his time with the Stockton Heat (AHL) and the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) during the 2015-16 season. He finished with a 3-4-0 record with Stockton, posting a 4.09 goals against average and .861 save percentage through seven games.
Lieuwen spent time with the Rochester Americans last season. Through 28 games, he had a 2.91 goals against average, .909 save percentage and 14-11-2 record.
“We’re happy to add both Kent and Nathan to our goaltending depth,” said Rampage General Manager Craig Billington. “Both of these guys have experience in the National League and American League, and we’re looking forward to working with them this season.”
