The San Antonio Rampage (21-12-3-0) will close out a quick two-game weekend when they face the Toronto Marlies (15-15-6-0) today at the AT&T Center.
San Antonio is coming into this game with an 8-3 win over the Iowa Wild on Saturday night. Garrett Wilson, Josh McFadden, Steven Kampfer, Brett Olson, Logan Shaw, Jesse Blacker and Mark Mancari all tallied goals in the win. Goaltender Dan Ellis stopped all but three shots he faced in the victory.
Toronto is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the defending champion Texas Stars. Goaltender Christopher Gibson stopped 21 of 24 shots he faced, including two in the extra period.
The Silver and Black are 11-7-1-3 all-time against the Toronto Maple Leafs affiliate. They defeated Toronto 4-3 in overtime last Saturday, where Bobby Butler, Garrett Wilson and Logan Shaw all tallied goals before Rocco Grimaldi’s game-winner in the extra frame.
