The San Antonio Rampage (10-6-0-0, 20 points) have not been historically successful at Cedar Park Center in the Austin suburbs, but will need to find a way to come away victorious if they want to keep their season-high five game winning streak alive as they face the Texas Stars (6-4-4-0, 16 points) tonight.
San Antonio is coming off a 4-3 shootout win on Tuesday morning against the Oklahoma City Barons. Logan Shaw had a goal and the game winning goal in the sixth round of the shootout. Shane O’Brien and Bobby Butler each had a goal for the silver and black as Dan Ellis stopped 31 of 34 Barons shots in the win.
The Stars enter the game with a 3-2 loss to the Rockford IceHogs. Hulak and Michael Stransky each tallied goals for Texas in the loss.
This is the first of 12 meetings between the Lone Star state rivals. The Rampage are 22-27-7-2 all-time against the Dallas Stars affiliate and over the last five years have a record of 18-21-5-2. The silver and black have not done well in Cedar Park Center, posting a record of 7-14-7-1 and have 71 goals for and 107 against.
The Rampage and Stars will drop the puck at 7:30 p.m. inside the Cedar Park Center. Samantha Garcia will have a full game story following the matchup.
