After suffering their first loss of the season, the San Antonio Rampage are back on the ice tonight when they face the Oklahoma City Barons in their first road game of the 2014-15 campaign.
Last Saturday, San Antonio defeated Oklahoma City 3-2 in overtime where rookie Rocco Grimaldi netted the game-winner and got his first professional goal in the process.
The Rampage (2-1-0-0, 4 points) are coming off a 3-0 shutout loss to the Utica Comets on Friday evening. Former San Antonio goaltender Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves in the victory and the Comets seemed to be in control from the word go.
“You gotta give them credit they (Utica) played hard,” Rampage head coach Tom Rowe said following the game. Our guys thought it was going to be an easy game and they got what they deserved.”
Oklahoma City (0-1-1-0, 1 point) enter tonight’s game looking for their first win of the season after a regulation loss to the Texas Stars and overtime loss to San Antonio.
Tonight will be the second of 12 meetings between the two clubs in the 2014-15 season.
The Rampage and Barons will drop the puck at 7 p.m. inside the Cox Convention Center. Check back later for Stephen Anderson’s game recap and be sure to follow @andersonstevem and @RampageCentral for game updates.
