AT&T Center – The San Antonio Rampage are in the process of contests against Pacific Division teams, needing points quickly. A win against their in-state rivals may be the thing to turn things around.
Cody Corbett’s power play goal lifted the Rampage to a 2-1 win over the Texas Stars at the AT&T Center on Tuesday night.
San Antonio opened the scoring in the first period when Jim O’Brien scored at the 2:57 mark, giving the Rampage a 1-0 lead going into the second period.
Neither team found the back of the net in the second stanza, but Texas tied things in the third. Brandon DeFazio knotted the score at one goal apiece with a power play tally, but Corbett’s late goal lifted the Rampage to the 2-1 win.
Spencer Martin stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced in the win as San Antonio finished 1-for-3 on the man advantage.
Up next: The Rampage are now 13-15-2-0 on the season and will return to the ice on Friday when they travel to Tucson to face the Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m.
