Highlights:
The San Antonio Rampage celebrated their 15th anniversary in the Alamo City with a 4-2 win over the Bakersfield Condors in front of 8,401 fans at the AT&T Center on Friday evening.
San Antonio quickly jumped out to a two-goal lead with goals from Eric Gelinas and Brandan Ranford at 2:09 and 14:58 respectively in the opening frame. Bakersfield answered back late in the opening frame when Jaedon Descheneau beat Rampage netminder Joe Cannata to make it 2-1 San Antonio after 20 minutes.
The visitors evened the score at 2-2 with Descheneau’s second of the night at 10:12 of the middle frame.
The Rampage opened the final frame by taking back their lead with Gelinas’ second tally of the evening to make it 3-2 San Antonio. Reid Petryk added to the Silver and Black’s lead, putting San Antonio up two goals. Anton Lander got one back for Bakersfield late in the period, but it was not enough to force overtime.
