Highlights:
AT&T Center – The San Antonio Rampage have had a tough time getting the puck into the back of net, or hitting the net at all. That problem became obvious as the Silver and Black opened their three-in-three weekend.
The Rampage fell 2-0 to the Manitoba Moose in front of 5,586 fans at the AT&T Center on Friday as they continued their 10-game homestand.
After a scoreless first period, the visitors got on the scoreboard in the second. Jack Roslovic sent a wrist shot past San Antonio netminder Jeremy Smith to make it 1-0 after 40 minutes of action.
The Moose sealed their 2-0 win late in the third period with a power play goal from Chase De Leo’s at 18:01.
Smith stopped 35 of a season-high 37 shots he faced in the loss. San Antonio finished 0-for-4 on the power play.
“I felt like they did get a lot of chances,” Smith said. As a D-core, we did a good job of limiting them. It was either one or two shots and that was it.”
Up next: The Rampage are now 16-20-4-0 on the season and will return to the ice tomorrow night when they face the Moose at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center to continue their homestand.
