The San Antonio Rampage fell 4-3 to the San Jose Barracuda in front of 7,267 fans at the AT&T Center on Saturday evening, despite a rally in the third period.

Brandon Gormley lit the lamp first for the Silver and Black just 21 seconds into the period. Marc-Andre Cliché added another midway through the opening frame to put the Rampage up 2-0. San Jose answered back with a tally from Ryan Carpenter as San Antonio took a 2-1 lead into the second period.

San Jose knotted the score at 2-2 with a tally from John McCarthy, making it the lone goal of the middle frame.

The Barracuda took the lead for good in the third period with the go-ahead goal from Ben Smith nearly four minutes in. Petter Emanuelsson made it 4-2 with a backhander that found its way into the net.

San Antonio struck late with a goal from Nick Drazenovic, his first of the season. However, it proved to be too late as the Rampage fell 4-3.
