Highlights:
The San Antonio Rampage had a ten game winning streak start in Iowa a few years back. So, the Silver and Black are hoping Friday was the start of another long string of wins.
Spencer Martin stopped all 27 Iowa shots as the Rampage earned a 1-0 win over the Iowa Wild in front of 5,776 fans at Wells Fargo Arena on Friday.
After a scoreless first period, San Antonio clinched victory in the second period. Rocco Grimaldi deflected the puck past Iowa goaltender Steve Michalek at the 4:53 mark of the middle frame, putting the Rampage up 1-0.
San Antonio was outshot 10-1 in the final period, but Martin held strong as the Rampage escaped with the 1-0 win.
Up next: The Rampage are now 11-11-1-0 on the season and will return to the ice tomorrow when they face the Wild once again to close out their weekend set.
