The San Antonio Rampage knew they did not play their best hockey when they met with the San Jose Barracuda for the first time in team history on Saturday. 18 hours later, they showed what they are capable of as they ended the weekend with four out of six points.

Spencer Martin stopped all 21 shots he faced as the Rampage earned a 1-0 win over the Barracuda in front of 4,878 fans inside the SAP Center on Sunday afternoon.

After three scoreless periods, which saw the Rampage outshoot San Jose 26-17, the game would be decided in overtime.

San Jose controlled the puck for the beginning of the extra period, but it would be the silver and black who broke the scoring drought. Reid Petryk skated down ice and sent a shot towards the top corner, beating Barracuda net minder Aaron Dell at 3:12 to give San Antonio the win.

San Antonio finished the game 0-for-5 on the power play, while San Jose was 0-for-4.

The Rampage are now 16-14-7-0 (39 points) on the season and will return to the ice in two days when they face the Stockton Heat at 9 p.m. to wrap up their California road trip.
