Rampage begin three-in-three weekend


The San Antonio Rampage (16-9-2-0) return from their holiday break to begin a busy three-in-three weekend, with two home games. They will get a visit from their in-state rivals Texas Stars (28-11-9-8) to kick things off.

San Antonio enters coming off a 3-1 loss to the Charlotte Checkers last Sunday. Steven Hodges tallied the lone goal for the Silver and Black as goaltender Dan Ellis stopped 12 of the 15 shots he faced, a season-low.

Texas is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Greg Rallo and Justin Dowling each tallied goals for the Stars as netminder Jack Campbell suffered the loss.

The Silver and Black are 24-27-7-2 overall against the Dallas Stars affiliate and are 16-13-0-1 at home. San Antonio is 2-0 against Texas this season so far with a 3-0 shutout and 7-1 road win.

The Rampage and Stars will drop the puck at 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center tonight. Stephen Anderson will have a full post game report on the website later.
