The San Antonio Rampage have named J.J. Daigneault and Daniel Tkaczuk assistant coaches, while Ryan Ward has been named video assistant coach, the team announced on Monday.
Daigneault comes to the Alamo City after spending the past six seasons as an assistant coach with the Montreal Canadiens. He is no stranger to the American Hockey League, having served as an assistant coach with the Hartford Wolf Pack and Connecticut Whale from 2007 to 2012.
Tkaczuk spent the 2017-18 season as an assistant and skills with the St. Louis Blues on Mike Yeo’s staff. He spent time as an assistant coach with the Chicago Wolves in 2016-17 as Chicago went to the Central Division Finals.
Ward comes to San Antonio after spending two seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he served under Rampage Head Coach Drew Bannister. Prior to being with the Greyhounds, he spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies.
The Rampage will drop the puck on the 2018-19 season on October 6 when they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins to the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. The team will play a home preseason game against the Texas Stars on September 26 at 7:30 p.m.
