The University of the Incarnate Word women’s basketball team (0-3) will look to get their first win of the season when they host the UMHB Crusaders (1-0) at the McDermott Center this evening.
Last time out: UIW is coming off a 74-33 loss to Texas State last Wednesday night. The Cardinals struggled all night long, shooting 29 percent and posting a season-low 33 points.
Offensive struggles: The Cardinals are averaging 38.7 points per game through three contests while giving up 73.7. UIW is shooting just 16 percent from three point range.
Freshman leader: UIW freshman guard Imani Robinson is averaging 7.3 points and 3.7 boards per game, leading the Cardinals.
Against UMHB: Tonight will be the first meeting in program history between the two teams.
