The San Antonio Stars will put their two game winning streak on the line when they face the Phoenix Mercury tonight at 9 p.m.

Phoenix (3-6) has lost two straight, most recently a 71-56 defeat to the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday evening. It was the first game for Brittney Griner after being suspended the first seven games for an offseason incident. Griner finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Stars are on a two-game winning streak after dropping their first six of the season. San Antonio defeated the Seattle Storm 73-71 on Saturday as Kayla McBride scored 12 of her 23 points in the final quarter, helping the Stars rally from an eight point deficit. She would bank in the game-winning basket.

San Antonio and Phoenix have split the first two games of the season. The Mercury defeated the silver and black 76-71 on opening night and the Stars earned a 76-71 win just over a week ago.

Phoenix won the season series 3-1 last season. San Antonio has averaged 67.0 points and are 0-3 on the road.

The Stars and Mercury will tip things off tonight at 9 p.m. and Stephen Anderson will have a game recap. Follow @sastarshoops and @andersonstevem for live game updates on Twitter.
