Preview: Stars look to end skid against Storm

The San Antonio Stars will look to end their losing skid when they take on the Seattle Storm this evening to continue their home-stand.

San Antonio (1-7) fell 90-75 to the New York Liberty on Saturday night. Estu Ndour led the Silver and Black with 18 points. The Stars kept things close, but a 12-0 run by New York in the fourth quarter sealed the deal.

The Storm (4-6) is coming off a 90-88 win over the Indiana Fever. Reigning Rookie of the Year Jewell Loyd scored 20 points, with 16 coming in the second half.

Number one pick Breanna Stewart is averaging 14.8 points per game. This will be the first of three games against San Antonio. Stewart’s UConn teammate Moriah Jefferson is having a rough time in her first season. She’s averaging just 3.6 points per game.

Overall, San Antonio is 27-31 all-time against Seattle since 2002.

The Stars and Storm will tip things off at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Follow Stars Hoops across social media for live updates.
