Preview: Stars look to cool off Mystics at home

The San Antonio Stars are hot at home. The Washington Mystics are hot…period. Something will give when the two teams meet at Freeman Coliseum tonight for the first of two meetings this season.

San Antonio (6-12) is coming off a 102-84 win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday. Kayla McBride stepped it up once again for her team as she led the Stars with 25 points as the silver and black won their sixth straight home win.

Washington (10-6) has won four in a row, most recently a win over the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. Ivory Latta finished with 20 points for the Mystics and has averaged 14.7 points in the last three games.

Last season, the teams split the two meetings.

The Stars and Mystics will tip things off tonight at 7 p.m. and Stephen Anderson will have a recap. Be sure to follow @andersonstevem and @sastarshoops for live game updates.
