The San Antonio Stars will look to grab their first win of the 2015 season when they face the defending champion Phoenix Mercury tonight at the Freeman Coliseum.

Phoenix (3-3) defeated San Antonio 76-71 on opening night. However, the Mercury were without Diana Taurasi (rest) and Brittney Griner (suspension). Without the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year, the defending champions are just 3-3 as she serves the final game of her seven game suspension.

San Antonio (0-6) is off to their worst start in franchise history, remaining winless after six games. The Stars fell 95-87 in overtime against the Chicago Sky on Saturday night. The silver and black had six players in double figures, led by Sophia Young-Malcolm’s 16 points and season-best 11 rebounds.

The Stars went 1-3 against Phoenix last season.

The Stars and Mercury will hit the court tonight at 7 p.m. at Freeman Coliseum and Stephen Anderson will have a recap. Follow @andersonstevem and @sastarshoops for live updates from the arena.
