Preview: Stars host Storm on Breast Health Awareness Night

The San Antonio Stars and Seattle Storm are both on four-game losing streaks, but that will end for one team on Saturday evening.

San Antonio (6-16) is coming off a 66-63 loss to the Washington Mystics on Wednesday. Jia Perkins finished with a team-high 23 points, but missed a game-tying three that would have sent the game into overtime. Stars head coach Dan Hughes was suffered a back injury in the second quarter and was taken away on a stretcher. However, he is expected to coach tonight.

The Storm (5-16) are losers of four straight coming into Saturday’s contest. Seattle fell 78-62 to New York on Sunday and are on a six game road trip, where they are 1-11 away from KeyArena. Sue Bird scored 14 points but shot 5 of 17 in the loss.

Overall, the silver and black are 26-30 against Seattle all-time with a record of 16-11 at home.

The Stars and Storm will tip things off at 7 p.m. at Freeman Coliseum and Stephen Anderson will have a post game report. Follow @andersonstevem and @sastarshoops for live updates from the arena.
