Preview: Stars face Sky looking to avoid history

The San Antonio Stars will look to avoid history when they take the court against the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. for their second game of the weekend.

San Antonio (0-5) comes in off a 75-59 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night. Jia Perkins had 16 points and Dearica Hamby added 10 in the loss. The Stars matched their worst start in franchise history and remain winless after five games.

Chicago (2-3) are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Atlanta Dream on Friday night. Elena Delle Donne led the Sky with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Courtney Vandersloot chipped in with 18 points and Cappie Pondexter added 13.

Jia Perkins is averaging a team-high 14.6 points, but will need more help if San Antonio wants to grab their first win of the season. The Stars are shooting a league-worst 36.4 percent.

The silver and black swept the season series from Chicago last season.
