Preview: Stars face league-best Lynx in Minnesota

The San Antonio Stars have yet to win a road game this season and a visit to Minnesota might not help the cause. San Antonio will look to end their road woes when they face the Minnesota Lynx tonight at 7 p.m.

San Antonio (7-16) comes in 0-11 away from Texas, but most recently won 88-81 over the Seattle Storm on Saturday. Jia Perkins had 32 points in the win and Kayla McBride added 20 for the Stars, who are a half game behind the Los Angeles Sparks coming into play this evening.

The Lynx (16-6) have the best record in the WNBA and recently beat the Sparks 71-62 on Sunday. Maya Moore finished with 20 points as Minnesota avoided a three-game losing streak.

This season, San Antonio is 0-2 against the Lynx and haven’t won in Target Center since 2012, that is 11 straight losses in Minnesota. The Lynx have held San Antonio to averages of 54.0 points and 32.0 percent shooting through two games.

The Stars and Lynx will tip things off tonight at 7 p.m. from Target Center and Stephen Anderson will have a recap. Follow @sastarshoops and @andersonstevem for live updates.
