Preview: Scorpions take on Edmonton north of border


The San Antonio Scorpions (1-1-3) return to the pitch this afternoon when they face the F.C. Edmonton Eddies (1-2-2) at 3 p.m. north of the border.

San Antonio enters the game sitting last in the NASL standings with just four points on the season. The Scorpions earned their first win of the Spring season last Saturday with a 1-0 win over the Carolina Railhawks at Toyota Field. Bright Dike had his first goal in a red and black kit.

Edmonton is ninth in the NASL standings with six points and are coming off a 1-1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps midweek. Tomi Ameobi had the goal for the Eddies in the match.

The last time the two teams met, San Antonio defeated Edmonton 3-0.

The Scorpions and Eddies will kick things off at 3 p.m. inside Clarke Field. Stephen Anderson will have a full report following the match.
