Preview: Scorpions open Fall Season north of border


After an international friendly against Club Sport Cartaginés, the San Antonio Scorpions will open the 2015 Fall Season against the Edmonton FC Eddies on Sunday afternoon.

The Scorpions finished the Spring Season 3-3-4 with 12 points, good enough for a tie for sixth place in the NASL table. They closed the season with a scoreless draw against the Ottawa Fury at Toyota Field. Striker Omar Cummings has a league-leading five goals coming into the match.

Edmonton FC ended the Spring Season with a 2-5-3 and 9 points. They ended the Spring Season with a 3-0 loss to Indy Eleven.

This is the 13th meeting all-time between the Scorpions and Eddies. San Antonio is 6-3-3 all-time against Edmonton FC with a record of 1-2-3 on the road.
