The San Antonio Scorpions will look to get back on track after a much needed bye week. They will have their first chance tonight against the Atlanta Silverbacks on the road.
Atlanta (4-1-2, 13 points) is coming off back-to-back wins and those two six points have pushed them nearly to the top of the standings in the NASL table. The Silverblacks own a three-game winning streak overall with wins over Indy Eleven, FC Edmonton and Fort Lauderdale.
San Antonio (1-1-3, 4 points) last played on July 25 and fell 3-4 to Minnesota United. Rafael Castillo scored twice in the loss and Adrian Cann added another in the loss. The Scorpions enter tonight’s match just six points out of playoff positioning and are the third highest scoring team in the league for the Fall Season.
The defending NASL champions will be without head coach Alen Marcina and Eric Hassli, both serving red card suspensions.
The Scorpions and Silverbacks will kick things off tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. Samantha Garcia will have a recap following he match.
