The San Antonio Scorpions will look to stay hot at home as they welcome the FC Edmonton Eddies to Toyota Field for a midweek contest this evening.

San Antonio is 1-0-1 with 3 points on the season and coming off a 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday. Omar Cummings had two goals and one assist in the win and was awarded with Player of the Week honors. However, the red and black lost Julius James for the season after he broke his leg early in the match.

Edmonton is 1-1-0 on the season and currently sit at the top of the Fall table with four points. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers last week and will be playing their third match in ten days.

The pair opened the Fall season as the Scorpions fell 0-4 on July 5. Lance Laing, Jalali and Hanson Boakai all got goals in the win for Edmonton. Two San Antonio players were ejected from the match with red cards.

Overall, this will be the 14th meeting between the two teams. San Antonio 6-3-4 all-time against Edmonton.

The Scorpions and Eddies will kick things off at 7:30 p.m. from Toyota Field and Stephen Anderson will have a recap. Follow @RedBlack_90 and @andersonstevem on Twitter for live updates.
