Preview: Scorpions close out Spring Season at home


The San Antonio Scorpions will wrap up the Spring Season tonight when they face the Ottawa Fury at Toyota Field.

San Antonio comes in with a record of 3-2-4 and 11 points, sitting sixth in the NASL table. The Scorpions are coming off a 1-0 win over the Atlanta Silverbacks last weekend, where Omar Cummings scored the lone goal and goalkeeper Daryl Sattler made three big saves in the second half.

The red and black are 3-1-1 in their last five games.

Ottawa enters with a record of 2-4-3 and 10 points, sitting in a tie for seventh in the NASL table. The Fury come in off a 0-0 draw against Jacksonville. In their last four games, the Canadian capital team has not allowed a goal thanks to ‘keeper Romauld Desire Peiser.

San Antonio is 1-0-2 all-time against Ottawa, this will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two clubs.
