Preview: San Antonio Rampage at Bakersfield Condors


The San Antonio Rampage (1-0-0-0) will look to stay perfect as they hit the road for the first time this season when they face the Bakersfield Condors (0-1-0-0) this evening to kick off a four-game road trip.

Last time out: The Rampage opened up the 2017-18 season with a 2-1 win over the Ontario Reign last Saturday at the AT&T Center. Jordan Schmaltz and Samuel Blais each had goals in the win for San Antonio, their first home opening win since 2014.

Perfect kill: San Antonio finished Saturday’s game a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill last weekend, putting them in an eight-way tie for first in the league. Last season, the Rampage finished in the top 10 of the penalty kill.

Against Bakersfield: Tonight will be the first of six meetings between the two teams. Last season, San Antonio won three meetings against the Condors and overall are 6-4-0-0 against the Edmonton Oilers affiliate.

The Rampage and Condors will drop the puck at 8:30 p.m. from Rabobank Arena.
