HIGHLIGHTS:

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Rampage earned a preseason sweep of the Texas Stars as they earned 4-1 and 3-2 wins respectively over their in-state rivals.

Brothers Connor Moynihan and Daniel Moynihan both scored in their Rampage debuts as San Antonio native Nicholas Miglio had the two helpers on the goals. Daniel Moynihan opened the scoring at 13:42 of the first period as he got loose for a breakaway, putting home a backhanded shot into the net.

The lone goal in the middle frame came from Texas off Zack Andrusiak’s stick as he tucked the puck underneath goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick’s pads.

Cam Darcy gave the Rampage the lead for good at 8:01 of the third period as he put home a rebound, giving San Antonio the 2-1 lead. Later Connor Moynihan banked the puck off Sholl and into the net, putting the Rampage up two goals.

Polei added an empty-net goal to secure the 4-1 win.
