If you were wondering where Rocco Grimaldi went after the second period during the San Antonio Rampage’s 4-3 shootout win over the Oklahoma City Barons, you weren’t alone on Tuesday morning. The answer is somewhere over the state of Arizona.

The Florida Panthers announced they have recalled Grimaldi from the Rampage, General Manager Dale Tallon announced.

Grimaldi has played in 13 games with the Rampage this season, scoring three goals and tallying three assists (3-3-6). While with the Panthers he has 12:14 TOI with 10 shots on goal.

The 21-year-old is an emergency call up for Aleksander Barkov who was ill and could not be on the roster for the game.

The Rampage currently own a record of 10-6-0-0 (20 points) and will return to ice action tomorrow night when they face the defending Calder Cup champion Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m. inside the Cedar Park Center.
