Panthers reassign Shane O’Brien


Defenseman Shane O’Brien is returning to the Alamo City.

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Thursday the team has reassigned the defenseman to the San Antonio Rampage.

The 31-year-old has played in 22 games with San Antonio, scoring six goals and eight assists.

The Rampage own a record of 21-13-3-0 for 45 points in the Western Conference and will return to the ice on Saturday when they face the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
