Panthers reassign Jesse Blacker to Rampage

Defenseman Jesse Blacker has been loaned to the Rampage.
Defenseman Jesse Blacker has been loaned to the San Antonio Rampage by the Florida Panthers.

Fans of the San Antonio Rampage will know the name Colby Robak and think of the game-winning goal against the Chicago Wolves in the Calder Cup Playoffs a few years ago. The Rampage faithful have missed the defenseman, but on Thursday the club acquired Robak 2.0 – a clone if you will.

Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Thursday that defenseman Jesse Blacker will be assigned to the San Antonio Rampage.

Blacker was acquired by the Panthers in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Robak and future considerations.

Blacker has played in 15 games for the Norfolk Admirals this season, posting five assists. He scored five goals and 19 assists in 50 games for the Admirals last season.
The Rampage own a 13-6-1-0 record and will return to the ice tomorrow when they face the Utica Comets at the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m.
