Panthers reassign Dan Ellis to Rampage

The San Antonio Rampage are about to get their top goaltender back from their parent club and just in time for the Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Florida Panthers have reassigned goaltender Dan Ellis to the Rampage, Florida General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Thursday evening.

Ellis appeared in eight games with Florida, posting a record of 4-3-1 with one shutout. In 36 games with San Antonio, he has a 22-11-3 record with two shutouts.


The Rampage are currently 44-21-5-1 (94 points) on the season and will return to the ice tonight when they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins to the AT&T Center for a weekend series beginning at 7 p.m.
