The defense of the San Antonio Rampage is a concern fans have going into the 2014-15 season, but a trade on Monday may have fans of the silver and black breathing easier.
The Florida Panthers announced the team has traded forward Joey Crabb to the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Steven Kampfer and forward Andrew Yogan.
Kampfer played 69 games with the Iowa Wild during the 2013-14 season, where he tallied six goals and 20 assists. The 26-year-old has played in 61 NHL games with the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild.
Yogan was drafted in 2010 by the Rangers and spent last season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, where he played in 40 games. He would finish the 2013-14 campaign with the Greenville Road Warriors.
The Rampage will return to the ice on Friday when they open the 2014-15 season against the Iowa Wild at the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m.
This made it possible for the Rangers to sign 19 year old Duclair and have him on opening day roster… Yogan will probably be in Cincy.
