SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Stars guard Moriah Jefferson underwent successful surgery on her right knee, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a team press release, the procedure was done by Dr. Richard Steffen. A timetable for her return to basketball activity will be determined at a later date.
The second year guard suffered her injury overseas during the 2017 offseason. Jefferson was hampered by knee issues during the entire 2017 WNBA season. She missed the team’s first three games of the season as well as nine of the final 11 games.
Jefferson averaged 9.1 points and 4.4 assists in 21 games for San Antonio during the 2017 WNBA season.
