Michael Reed named to USL Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC midfielder Michael Reed has been named to the USL Team of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The Team of the Week honors is the first for Reed in the 2017 season and second all-time with SAFC. He last received the honor during the 2016 season after San Antonio’s 2-1 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC.

Reed had an assist on Stephen McCarthy’s game-winning goal in stoppage time on Saturday in SAFC’s dramatic 2-1 come from behind win over Real Monarchs SLC. The assist is Reed’s second of the season to go along with one goal.


San Antonio FC is currently 13-2-9 on the season and will return to the pitch on Saturday night when they take on LA Galaxy II at Stubhub Center to continue their four-game road trip.
