The NHL trade deadline came and went without the Florida Panthers making much noise. However that didn’t stop AHL teams from trading players and that’s what the San Antonio Rampage did.
Ryan Martindale has been assigned to the Syracuse Crunch, San Antonio General Manager Eric Joyce announced on Monday afternoon. Also, the Tampa Bay Lightning assigned defenseman Matt Corrente to the Rampage.
Corrente has appeared in 48 games for Syracuse, scoring two goals and six assists. He previously played for the Lowell Devils (2008-10), Albany Devils (2011-13) and Charlotte Checkers (2013-14) before joining the Crunch this season.
The Rampage currently own a record of 31-19-5-0 (67 points) and are fifth in the Western Conference. They will conclude their Rodeo Road Trip this week when they face the Charlotte Checkers for a two-game series beginning on Wednesday at 6 p.m. inside Time Warner Cable Arena.
