San Antonio FC will look to continue their playoff hunt when they face off against LA Galaxy II (10-9-9) tonight at 9 pm Central Time from the Stubhub Center.
Last time out
SAFC earned a 3-1 win at home against OKC Energy FC last weekend. Rafa Castillo and Frank Lopez scored for San Antonio, who got back into the top 10 with the victory.
Los Dos fell on the road to Phoenix Rising FC 1-4 on Saturday and are two points up on San Antonio for ninth place.
Playoff Fight
Coming into this weekend, San Antonio FC is just two points behind LA for ninth in the West and a win would put them into a three way tie for seventh in the conference.
“It’s a massive game for the league,” SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell said. “If you look at both teams, we’re very close in the standings going into the game. Everybody knows how important the points are at this stage of the year because they can certainly influence the coming weeks. Our ambition and drive is to make the playoffs and Friday night is an opportunity to earn points against a rival in the table.”
