Match #6 Preview: LA Galaxy II at San Antonio FC


San Antonio FC will look to earn their second win of the season when they host LA Galaxy II (3-2-0) at Toyota Field tonight.

Last time out

SAFC is coming off a 2-1 win over Las Vegas Lights last Saturday night, earning their first win of the 2019 USL Championship season. Bradford Jamieson IV and Ever Guzman each tallied goals in the win and GK Matt Cardone had three saves.

Los Angeles is looking to grab their third straight win after a 4-2 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC last weekend.

Defense vs. Offense

Saturday’s match will see LA’s high powered offense going up against an improving SAFC defense. Through five games, Los Dos is averaging 11 goals per game, while giving up 13 per match; the second-most in the USL. Meanwhile, SAFC has given up a goal in their last three matches after giving up six total in the first two.

San Antonio is averaging just 1.2 goals through five matches this season and has been shutout twice in those five matches.
