San Antonio FC will return to USL play and begin the second half of the season this evening when they host the OKC Energy FC at Toyota Field.
Last time out: SAFC and Santos Liguna played to a 1-1 draw last Saturday in front of a soldout crowd. The match would go to penalty kicks and the visiting side would get the 4-3 edge and win the match.
Two horse race: Coming into play tonight, San Antonio (10-1-5) is eight points behind the first place Real Monarchs SLC (14-2-1) for first place in the Western Conference table. The two clubs will play each other twice before the end of the regular season, which could determine who gets first place.
Against OKC: Tonight’s matchup will be the fifth all-time between the two clubs. SAFC is 0-1-3 in four meetings with OKC, including a 0-0 draw earlier this season.
San Antonio FC and OKC Energy FC will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Field. The match can be seen on ESPN U.
