Kyle Rau is on his way to San Antonio and that will only add to the San Antonio Rampage roster depth. Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Sunday, the team has come to agreement with the Minnesota Gophers standout.

Rau appeared in 160 games for the University of Minnesota and scored a total of 164 points.

“We are very pleased to have agreed to an entry level contract with Kyle,” said Tallon. “He played extremely well at the University of Minnesota, leading the Gophers to back-to-back Big Ten regular-season championships and four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. He is another one of our young and talented prospects who is prepared to take the next step in his hockey career.”

The Rampage are 42-20-5-1 (90 points) on the season and will return to the ice on Thursday night when they welcome the Adirondack Flames to the AT&T Center at 7 p.m.
