Kayla McBride will miss the rest of the 2016 season with a right foot fracture, the San Antonio Stars announced on Wednesday.

McBride suffered the injury in the third quarter of the July 2 Stars-Lynx game. Losing McBride means San Antonio will be without two of their top three players. Danielle Robinson has not played this season after recovering from Achilles surgery.

McBride averaged 17.1 points and 30.8 minutes per game.
