According to the San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Scorpions midfielder Josue Soto has been suspended from all team activities for allegedly sharing team information.
The NASL confirmed the suspension on Friday afternoon and the league has launched an investigation into the “potential misconduct” by Soto.
Scorpions Head Coach Alen Marcina has not commented on the suspension and Team President Howard Cornfield is traveling.
Sources told the newspaper Soto was sharing starting lineups with former players among other information.
Soto has no goals in 14 appearances with the team this season.
The Scorpions will return to the pitch next week when they play the Ottawa Fury north of the border.
