San Antonio FC goalkeeper Josh Ford has been suspended four games by the USL for an altercation during Saturday’s match against Oklahoma City, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Ford was given a red card for a scuffle in the 65th minute of Saturday’s match against OKC. Ford throw a punch towards the Energy’s Michael Thomas, who was also ejected.
The SL Disciplinary Committee ruled an additional three-game suspension to follow the one-game suspension for the red card.
Ford will miss Saturday’s match against Vancouver, Los Angeles, Swope Park, and Sacramento.
The team is planning to appeal the suspension.
San Antonio FC will return to the pitch on Saturday against Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. to continue their homestand.
