With their 4-3 loss to the Minnesota United last Saturday, the San Antonio Scorpions have lost three out of all five games played this Fall Season.
The Scorpions had a good shot of winning Saturday, thanks to two penalty kicks and one good goal. However, they fell short of MNU by just one goal.
That seems to be the story for the Scorpions this whole season. Aside from their 0-4 loss to FC Edmonton and their one win, the Scorpions have either lost by just one goal or tied.
“We’ll make solutions. We’ll fix it. We’re a good team, a very good team” said head coach Alen Marcina after Saturday’s loss. “Hats off to Minnesota for getting the result. There’s no takeaway from them. We’re going to make corrections.”
The question remains, is it just too late to make corrections? After all, to this point, San Antonio is number eight in the table barely ahead of Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and the New York Cosmos.
The Scorpions will be on the road for the next two weeks as they travel to take on the Atlanta Silverbacks August 8 and then the New York Cosmos August 15. Their next home game be August 22 when the expansion Jacksonville Armada visit Toyota Field for the first time.
