San Antonio FC has signed Midfielder Billy Forbes for the upcoming 2017 season, the team announced on Tuesday morning.
Forbes joins SAFC after playing one season with Rayo OKC of the NASL and spent two seasons with the now-defunct San Antonio Scorpions, where he scored nine goals and tallied 15 assists.
While with Rayo OKC, he played in 29 matches and started 25. He scored three goals for the club and had four assists.
“I am so excited to be back home in San Antonio and join an organization as impressive as this one,” said Forbes via a team press release. “I have incredible memories of playing in front of these amazing fans at Toyota Field and I can’t wait to experience that again. I look forward to working with the team and everyone else involved to help bring a USL championship to San Antonio.”
San Antonio FC will return to the pitch in late March for their second season in the USL.
