Goalkeeper Jon Kempin loaned to Scorpions

Jon Kempin is on his way to the Alamo City.

Sporting Kansas City announced on Friday, that the team has loaned their goalkeeper to the defending NASL champion San Antonio Scorpions.

The 21-year-old was the 2014 MVP of the MLS Chipotle Homegrown Game and spent time with the CONCACAF Champions League.


The Scorpions will open the 2015 spring season next Saturday when they host the Tampa Bay Rowdies at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Field.
