Game Preview: Tucson Roadrunners at San Antonio Rampage


The San Antonio Rampage will look to continue their strong start to the season when they host the Tucson Roadrunners (1-0-0) at the AT&T Center on Sunday afternoon.

Last time out

The Rampage opened the 2019-20 season with a 2-1 win over the Manitoba Moose on Friday night. Newcomers Mike Vecchione and Nathan Walker each had goals in the win, while goaltender Ville Husso earned his first win of the new season by stopping 22 Manitoba shots.

“We came out strong,” Rampage coach Drew Bannister said. “We created a lot of opportunities in the first period, but overall, I’m pretty happy with the way we played.”

Scouting The Roadrunners

Tucson opened the season with a 2-0 shutout win over the Texas Stars. Brayden Burke has a power-play goal on the night as the Roadrunners got the first shutout of the new season.
