
The San Antonio Rampage will have an NHL legend don the Silver and Black colors as the parent club Florida Panthers acquired F Dany Heatley and a third-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft from Anaheim in exchange for F Tomas Fleischmann. Florida General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Saturday that Heatley is expected to report to the Rampage.
Heatley has played in the National Hockey League with the Atlanta Thrashers, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks and totaled 791 points. He has seen postseason action with Ottawa, San Jose and Minnesota, totaling 63 points.
The 34-year-old spent time this season with the Norfolk Admirals. He appeared in 25 games, recording seven points.
Heatley is expected to join the Rampage in Charlotte for the final two games of the Rodeo Road Trip.
